Accelerating the Future of Healthcare Interventions in Liverpool

The Biologics Regional Innovation Technology Ecosystem (BRITE) brings together universities, businesses, and regional partners to shape the future of new healthcare products. By transforming world-class research into life-changing therapies, BRITE drives local economic growth, creates high-skilled jobs, and delivers better health outcomes for communities.

BRITE is a three-year collaborative programme tackling barriers to biologics commercialisation by strengthening local biomanufacturing scale-up in the Liverpool City Region, supporting economic growth, skilled jobs, and improved health through locally developed therapeutics and diagnostics.

The BRITE team brings together expertise from several higher education institutions across the Liverpool City Region. Working closely with industry and partners, the team combines research, technical knowledge and practical experience to support biologics innovation, tackle scale-up challenges, and help translate research into real-world impact.
